After consulting with the class members, nearly everyone preferred the option where sailors stay together in holiday cottages under the supervision of coaches and some parents. The sailors and coaches will cook for themselves. There will be a range of activities organised for the evening time in the houses. An outline of the camp:

It was quite a while in the making, but the newly rekindled 420 Ulster Championships took place last weekend at Donaghadee Sailing Club, kindly supported by Walker Communications.
Gifted with a favourable wind of 15-20kts for most of the weekend, PRO Jimmy McKee did a fine job getting 6 races in the can. The infamous Donaghadee tide played its usual part in what proved to be an exciting weekend’s racing for the 15 crews that made the trip. It was great to see boats from as far away as Cork, Galway & Wexford making the effort to travel and hopefully some of the Northern boats will return the compliment at future events.
Donaghadee Sailing Club is delighted to host the first 420 event in the North of Ireland for some time. Local PRO Jimmie McKee will ensure 2 days of top quality racing in the infamous tidal waters of Donaghadee.
Registration for the event will open at 0830 on Saturday 31st August with the 1st warning at 11:55. There will be food and live entertainment for all soon after racing on Saturday evening, hopefully you can join us. There is a very nominal charge of £5.00 per head.
It is hoped to organise some training pre-event, details to follow. Boat storage will be available if needed.
A comprehensive information pack for the weekend is attached. It provides location, schedule, tides and accommodation details.
